Ole Jefferson's

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Has the week already come to an end?? Oh well, it only means we must enjoy what's left accordingly and that's exactly what we did! Since the weather hasn't lighten up and my husband and I really didn't want to catch the cold again, we decided to visit one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Chattanooga, TN.

They're called Jefferson's, located at 618 Georgia Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37402. This place is a bar style restaurant that adapts to styling the whole restaurant in dollar bills! Here i'll explain...

Here is my husband standing in front of the entrance! During the summer time, we loved going here and eating at the patio area.

And here is the inside!

Now if you haven't noticed by now, the walls are filled with dollar bills decorated by customers. If you ever decide to try this place, leave your mark! Just decorate your dollar bill and ask the waitress if you can place it on the wall and she'll give you pins to do so! Love the idea!

The menus are very basic with bar food in my opinion except I've never heard of a bar selling oysters and differently styles of it? Now my husband is the pickiest man i have ever met when it comes to food and oysters are the last on his list of loves. But Jefferson's has a oyster dish called The Rockefeller and its to die for!

Its oysters baked with spinach, artichoke, Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of bread crumbs. If your not a huge seafood fan, this will definitely change your mind! Once you detach the oyster from the shell, place the whole bit in your mouth. Now your maybe thinking its slimy and of course oysters have that watery, salty, taste but they bake these for about 10-15 minutes to where it isn't too slimy but warm and cheesy. You can taste all the ingredients in that one bite. If you like spinach artichoke dip, you'll love this!

After that great adventure, we stopped by a place that I have now change my thoughts about. Retail store Ross. Going into there and finding all these greats buys, i couldn't resist! I don't know if it was the season change and they were given more retail to work with but whatever the case was keep it going!

This was the last bamboo carpet they had and I just couldn't pass on it! Great price especially for how big it is!

Now I will admit, I do spoil my fur baby Kaiyu a lot and anytime I can find a dog toy for cheap I'll grab it. Ross has a section for all dogs. From beds and blankets, to dog toys and shampoos. All discounted at that! This toy is called Ruff Toys and I wish i had heard about them before. My kaiyu will tear any toy we give him into bits and eat them! So for weeks I have not been able to find a toy he wont obliterate in 10 minutes. This toy came in a set of 3 for $7.00 and they are HUGE!

So cautiously, I placed them down and here comes kaiyu ready to go to work on the toys.

And to my surprise, he's done everything possible and nothing! No tears, rips, stuffing, absolutely nothing! And on top of that he loves them! Though they are huge on him, he could care less since he thinks hes invincible! So if you have a puppy who is just tearing up all his toys like the threads, braids, rope, and even kongs, try this! I'm not sure if all Ross stores have this but I know the one in Chattanooga, TN does!

Till Next Time
